LAST INSTRUCTIONS

Kosice Airport Transportation - there are several options how to get to your hotel from the airport. Airport is connected with the city center by public transportation, bus number 23. You can buy ticket from bus driver, price cca 30 sk (1 EUR). Or you can use taxi, price of trip to the city center (Main Street) 250 - 300 Sk (8,30 - 10 EUR). Taxi driver suppose to give you receipt. More info about Airport bus and taxi transportation. There are taxi cars waiting in front of airport. If there is a problem, you call Kosice Taxi Services.

Railway Station Transportation – the Railway station is in close proximity of the city center, and all reserved hotels. Walking distance to the Main Street is less then 10 minutes (Street named MLYNSKA will bring you directly to the Main Street, to Kosice Cathedral, see map, or photo map). More detailed information about relative distance of Railway station and all hotels is on the map in the Accommodation section. We added yellow symbol for Railway station, and two lines (blue and green) showing example how to get to then Hotel Akademia (blue), and to the Symposim venue (green). There are also plenty of taxi cars waiting in front of the Railway station.

Emergency phone number - in case of any problem, with transportation, with accomodation, or any accident, please call Organizing Committee, number 0902-685 455 (Jan Galik). General emergency number in Slovakia (and the whole EU) is 112. Other important phone numbers in Kosice.

Registration - as presented in the Program of Symposium, early registration is possible already on Sunday 17:00 to 20:00 in the Symposium venue. Registration desk will be open every morning (see Program).

Lectures (time limit) – A cordless presenter with laser pointer, LCD timer and vibration alerts will be available for lecturers who prefer to change slides themselves. Personal technical assistance will be available on request. Presenter will be pre-set to time limit of presentation – slight vibration before 5 and 2 minutes before time limit will discreetly warn the lecturer. Please take care to keep your presentation within time limit – 30 minutes (20+10) for Invited lectures, and 15 (10+5) minutes for all other lectures. Short description of presenter. Posters – 100 cm wide will be attached to the wooden stands by the adhesive tape provided by the organizers.

Lunches – if you want to have lunch in the cafeteria of the Catholic University on Monday already, let us know as soon as possible (indicate also whether you are vegetarian). To remind you - the price of lunch (soup, main dish) is 100 Sk, which is approx. 3,3 EUR. All Invited guests and Travel grant holders have their lunches in Symposium venue reserved by the Organizing Committee already. More information at the registration desk

Public transportation – all Symposium participants can ride all public transportation means (buses, trams, trolleys) for free during all Symposium days (8., 9., 10., 11. september 2008). Proof of participation will be your Name tag stamped by the Kosice Public Transportation office. More information at the registration desk.

Publication - if you consider to submit your presentation for publication as full length paper to Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology, or Neuroscience do not forget to notify Organizing Committee about your intend to publish paper latest at the registration desk.

Registration fee payment - if you forgot to send your payment, please do it as soon as possible (not Invited guests and Travel grant holders). You can also pay registration fee at the registration desk. Please let us know if you decided to do so, to avoid misunderstandings.
